PORTFOLIO
I’m Malek, a Screen Media Production graduate. I’m passionate about filmmaking and the full process that goes into bringing a project to life, from planning and shooting to editing and final delivery, I’m also really interested in editing, and I’d say it’s one of the skills I’m most proud of. Over the years I’ve built up my style through a lot of practice. In that time, I’ve edited all kinds of projects, from short films and documentaries to event coverage and social media content.
My experience comes from being hands on in different roles. I’ve worked as a cinematographer, camera operator and a director on student films. I’ve also covered corporate style vlogs, which helped me get comfortable shooting in fast paced environments. These projects taught me how to adapt, solve problems on set, and focus on the details that make visuals stand out.
I’m drawn to storytelling that feels honest and interesting. I try to create visuals that feel natural and meaningful. Working in different sets during my time at UOWD has shaped me into a flexible, collaborative filmmaker who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of production.
As I continue growing my skills, I’m excited to build bigger projects, explore more visual styles, and keep developing my voice as a filmmaker.
